
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Provide technical support to the construction team with respect to material submittals, approvals, testing, and sampling.
- Review subcontractor and supplier material submittals and coordinate with consultants to obtain necessary approvals as per project specifications and standards.
- Act as the focal point for scheduling, control, and quality assurance of construction materials.
- Conduct site inspections to verify work is executed in line with approved contract specifications.
- Coordinate with sub-consultants and third-party laboratories for material testing and compliance verification.
- Maintain organized project files and records related to material inspections and approvals.
- Ensure only approved materials are incorporated into the works.
- Identify potential material-related issues, conflicts, or non-conformances, and recommend corrective actions to the Technical Manager.
- Collect, review, and file Certificates of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags, and other relevant material documentation.
- Support in the preparation of quality control procedures and reports.
- Perform engineering calculations, charts, and graphs related to material performance and compliance.
- Monitor, record, and verify that works are executed in accordance with approved procedures.
- Check and confirm that delivered materials match approvals and are properly stored on site.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff as needed.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience in landscape, building, infrastructure, and road construction projects.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- In-depth knowledge of construction-related processes and material standards relevant to civil and landscaping projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare clear reports, technical documents, charts, and graphs.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving material-related issues.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures, HSE compliance, and material storage practices.
