Job Description
About the job:
- Oversee daily operations of instrument cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution processes.
- Ensure all sterilization procedures comply with hospital policies, international standards (e.g., AAMI, WHO), and infection control protocols.
- Monitor and document all sterilization cycles, load records, biological and chemical indicators, and environmental conditions.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or irregularities; coordinate with maintenance and biomedical teams when needed.
- Assist in training and mentoring CSSD technicians and new staff.
- Maintain and manage inventory of sterile supplies, surgical instruments, and consumables.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Operating Room, Endoscopy, and other departments to ensure timely delivery and collection of sterile items.
- Stay updated on best practices, new technologies, and evolving infection control regulations.
