Minimum 10 years experience in Physiotherapy (Ideally in a private setting)
Active DHA Physiotherapist license preferred
Current BLS certification

We’ve got an opening for a curious, adventurous, full time musculoskeletal/orthopaedic physiotherapist, in our private clinic in the heart of Dubai, UAE.
The Physio Centre is a highly reputable private physiotherapy clinic in Business Bay. You’ll be working in a clinic which opened 16 years ago, and services people from all over the world, including a large local Emirati base. The majority of our patient base are young, active and interesting patients, willing to get involved in their treatment, because that’s the way we’ve trained them!
Our Physio led clinic maintains and ensures high standards of treatment, of which we are known for, and proud of. No electro here – we use education, manual and exercise therapy to deliver the highest quality care, keeping ourselves up to date, and our patients very happy!

About the Role:
You will supported by senior and junior physiotherapists. As mentioned above, our patients are young, active, interested and wanting results. They need plenty of education to understand, and you would be expected to provide this. Most patients will be musculoskeletal in nature – from sports injuries, post surgical, and day to day pains.
You will need excellent subjective and objective assessment skills to diagnose appropriately, and refer on when necessary – the medical system in UAE is still young, which can lead to errors for patients.
You’re treatment will need to fit with the ethos of the clinic (in no particular order) –

• Manual therapy – inclusive of DDN
• Education and communication
• Exercise therapy

We also encourage goal setting for the patient – it doesn’t have to be strict, but you should both be on the same page when it comes to treatment and outcomes!
The role will require you to be independent with your caseload, but we will not leave you alone to struggle. We encourage collaboration with other physiotherapists when its needed, and other professionals as is appropriate.
Dubai is a city that uses ‘Word of Mouth’ more than formal advertising to do business. You will need to get out and about in the community to meet people/doctors/future patients/referees to help build your caseload. Joining a sports club, business club or a social club will be a huge benefit to you! Also, Dubai runs on social media, so getting involved in ours, and probably your own Instagram is vital!

Core responsibilities:
· Perform excellent assessments to accurately diagnose and identify areas of concern, using appropriate outcome measures
· Make excellent treatment choices and techniques to cater to a variety of musculoskeletal conditions
· Cover all subjective questions to confirm appropriateness of patient for physiotherapy
· Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
· Use sound knowledge of exercise prescription and rehabilitation techniques
· Strong ethical practices and integrity in patient care, treating the human and not the pain
· Complete clinic policies in a timely manner eg. EMR, referral letters, insurance reports
· Communicate with team, referring practitioners, trainers and coaches, parents and families when appropriate, in a timely manner
· Ensure maintenance of privacy and confidentiality in relations to patient and clinic information
· Be willing to get involved with in-house CPD and show commitment to ongoing professional development and education
· Provides supervision as appropriate to less experienced staff
· Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance
· Be willing to get involved in the community, to advertise yourself and build a ‘Word of Mouth’ reputation

Skills and qualities:
· Strong understanding of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions
· Excellent communication with advanced social and emotional skills
· Strong written and spoken English – Arabic would be a bonus
· Excellent listening skills
· Understands and exhibits empathy
· Must be self-motivated, flexible and have good time management skills
· Works independently and autonomously, but also willing to get involved with the team as we are a small clinic
· Maintains consistency in client relations and goes the extra mile in exceeding client expectations
· Demonstrates ability to connect with clients and team members
· Enjoy helping people with their problem, and overall wellbeing
· Ability to make sound decisions on the go, for the benefit of the patient
· Demonstrates quality work in all facets of job role responsibilities in order to effectively produce positive client outcomes

Working Conditions:
Cover morning and evening throughout the 7 day week
8-9 hour working days (lunch break included in time)
Salary/commission or commission payment structure to be discussed
Continual Profession Development will be provided on a casual basis within the clinic, and a budget for official CPD will be provided, to meet with the requirements of DHA licensing.
