
Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
- Part of the leadership team, the Physiotherapist Team Leader translates Jayasom’s Health & Wellness strategy into actionable programs and activities throughout the resort.
- Ensure the Physiotherapists team provides outstanding service to all guests, create Physiotherapy services and programs tailored to each individual guests’ health and wellness state, to ensure they achieve optimal health by gaining proper balance in life.
- Drive the development of the Physiotherapy operations by monitoring and researching industry trends and guests needs and expectations and as a result introduce new procedures and services that are in line with Jayasom’s wellness approach and long-term objectives.
- Ambassador of the company’s wellness and sustainability culture, promote its awareness amongst team members by leading by example and living and healthy and balanced lifestyle.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain effective communication with all departments of the resort to ensure a smooth and outstanding service for all guests.
- Collaborate with all wellness practitioners to ensure optimal health safety for all guests.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients, corporate office.
- Promote a friendly, dynamic and collaborative work environment that includes, open communication, team work, participation, trust, respect, professionalism and fun.
- Have a complete understanding of own role, responsibilities and company expectations.
- Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures, employee guidelines and service standards.
- Educate resort employees on the Physiotherapy services and facilities available at the resort.
- Deliver and participate in meetings as required, facilitate seminars and training to internal and external guests.
- Proactively participate in company people relations and community relations programs and activities available at the property as well as encourage team members to participate.
- Work towards exceeding company’s business targets.
- Take a positive and resourceful approach to every project.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
People Management:
- Build an effective Physiotherapy team by participating in their selection, training and development.
- Effectively manage, coach and develop the Physiotherapy team, fostering a commitment towards the company’s health and wellness vision.
- Ensure team members have a complete understanding of their role, responsibilities and company expectations.
- Assign responsibilities to team members and ensure they are working towards completing their tasks and achieving company objectives within the deadlines by consistently provide them with the necessary support.
- Frequently assess team members’ skills, knowledge and techniques and develop training programs tailored to their improvement needs to ensure outstanding service delivery.
- Celebrate successes and recognize the contribution of team members.
- Provide regular performance feedback to team members, coaching and counselling sessions as needed.
- Foster employee commitment to provide excellent service, participate in daily, weekly and monthly meetings and model desired service behaviours in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the planning, organizing, and leading of the overall Physiotherapy team in accordance with Jayasom’s guidelines and local health regulations, including group activities.
- Connect with team members and guests, develop professional relationships that foster trust, confidence, harmony and loyalty.
- Develop and implement new treatments and services to improve guests’ strength, stamina, balance and exercise tolerance.
- Ensure the team consistently carries out appropriate assessment techniques to evaluate the guests’ physical condition; and plan and develop bespoke treatment plans, which help guests’ individual needs.
- Remain impartial at all times and ensure the treatments and services fulfil and exceed the guests’ expectations.
- Ensure the treatment rooms and studios are always clean and neat, with the necessary products and equipment, ready to welcome guests at any time.
- Protect and promote the guest’s confidentiality, privacy and dignity.
- Have a good working knowledge of all Wellness services provided at the resort, including promotional items, visiting consultants, facilities and its capabilities.
- Ensure the team is aware of current and future services offered by the resort and offer suggestions for improvement, expansion or creation of new services.
- Perform consultations and services as and when required, including group sessions.
- Monitor and analyse guests’ usage of Physiotherapy services and develop action plans to increase guest participation and maximise revenue.
- Responsible for controlling and maintaining the Physiotherapy budget, maximising revenues and lowering expenses.
- Responsible for the daily financial reports, reconciliations, POs and ensure accuracy before forwarding to the H&W Director.
- Conduct daily spot checks to ensure cleanliness and hygiene of facilities
- Keep updated with local and international trends and provide timely recommendations to ensure the programs are updated and innovative while maintaining Jayasom core values.
- Continuously challenge the resort’s wellness programs and activities and make recommendations for improvement.
- Consistently monitor guest’s feedback, handle guests’ requests and complaints and take prompt actions to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
- Participate in PR events as required.
- Carry out administrative duties such as completion of monthly reports, training, inventory, etc.
- When not booked with guests or busy in the office, is present at the wellness center or in restaurants to assist operations team with guests relations and care.
- Support the operations and help when needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- BA/BsC in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Degree is osteopathy
- Certificate in Gyrokynesis / Gyrotonic
- Certificate in Neurac
- CPR
- Fluent in English and Arabic is an advantage
Work Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a health & wellness resort
- Experience in assessing and evaluating guests’ overall physical condition and develop bespoke programs
- Experience educating guests on lifestyle changes and self-care to promote wellness.
