
Job Description
Position Overview:
To provide a high quality, comprehensive, efficient and costeffective Pediatric Hematology and other blood disorders services for King’s College Hospital-Dubai.
- The post-holder will:
- Diagnose, treat, and manage blood disorders and cancers in children and adolescents
- Provide specialized care for pediatric hematology
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures to treat blood disorders and cancers in children and adolescents like anemia, clotting disorders and cancer likeleukemia in pediatric patients.
- Develop and implement treatment protocols to enhance clinical outcomes in pediatric Hematology .
- Participate in research and contribute to advancements in pediatric hematology management.
- Educate patients, families, and medical staff about pediatric heamtology conditions and treatment options.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, patient safety, and healthcare regulations in pediatric hematology practice.
Accountabilities:
- Compliance with health and safety and security requirements.
- Provide an expert Pediatric hepatologyopinion on patients being investigated and treated in King’s College Hospital-Dubai clinical facilities.
- Diagnose and treat patients according to established standards of best practice in Paediatric Hematology.
- Comply with the established King’s College Hospital-Dubai practices.
- Comply with the requirements of the regulatory UAE medical health authorities with respect to all professional practices.
- Accurately document all relevant patient information in a clear and timely fashion in accordance with King’s College Hospital-Dubai health record keeping policy.
- Liaise with the medical and surgical specialities and professional support services for expert support as required.
- Work effectively and efficiently within the team structure of the King’s College Hospital-Dubai treatment centre by maintaining a good working relationship with other members of staff, promoting collaboration and adopting a team-based approach to patient care.
- Implement, support and follow all clinic initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Practice only within the privileges granted by King’s College Hospital-Dubai and UAE medical health authorities.
Quzlification:
- MBBS or MD
- CCT or completion of a recognised specialist training programme with minimum 5 years experience post CCT qualification
- UAE Medical Health Authority License
- Resuscitation as per the specialty
- Has worked in hospital or similar setting for at least 7 years
