GEMS Winchester Private School Fujairah is seeking to appoint an exceptional Assistant Principal to join our Senior Leadership Team from August 2026. This strategic role is central to driving whole‑school improvement and ensuring the highest standards across all phases of the school.

About The Role

The Assistant Principal will provide strategic leadership and oversight of whole‑school standards, ensuring rigorous evaluation, high expectations, and continuous improvement. The role will be instrumental in strengthening the school’s readiness for external accountability and regulatory inspection frameworks.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Leadership & Quality Assurance

• Lead the strategic oversight of whole‑school standards and quality assurance.
• Maintain robust, triangulated evidence to support accurate assessment of impact and improvement.
• Ensure full readiness for external regulatory inspections.
  

Performance Evaluation

• Lead analysis of whole‑school performance data: attainment, progress, teaching quality, behaviour, and inclusion.
• Identify strengths, risks, and improvement priorities using evidence‑informed evaluation.
  

Assessment, Reporting & Data Systems

• Oversee performance tracking systems to secure data integrity and ensure alignment with standards.
• Support accurate reporting and school evaluation through effective management of assessment and examination processes.
  

Leadership Development & Capacity Building

• Support and challenge leaders through rigorous self‑evaluation and evidence‑based insight.
• Promote a culture of data‑informed leadership and provide professional learning opportunities.
  

Operational Leadership & Line Management

• Line manage the Data Executive and Examinations Officer, ensuring high‑quality assessment and examination processes.
• Oversee examination arrangements in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the wider strategic direction of the school as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
  

Skills

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in education and recognized Teacher Training qualification (required).
• Master’s degree or NPQ (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in reputable schools.
• Experience working with data to drive school improvement.
• Experience with UAE, BSO, BSME or similar inspection/ regulatory frameworks.
  

Skills & Attributes

• Exceptional understanding of data systems and their application in school improvement.
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
• Strong ICT capability.
• Excellent time‑management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to apply educational research and evidence‑based practice.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in education and recognized Teacher Training qualification
