Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented SeniorAccountant to join our finance team at Idemitsu Lube Middle East & Africa FZE, a global player Lubricants Industry. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience working in multinational environments, and ability to manage multiple reporting standards and complex financial data across entities.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Manage general ledger entries and reconciliations for multiple entities.
- Process payable and receivable transactions which include customer & vendor invoicing on SAP B1 in co-ordination with procurement & logistics dept.
- Checking and processing staff expense claims via a reimbursement process.
- Preparation of monthly payroll and bank reconciliations.
- Filing of documents including bank transactions, sale & purchase invoices, journal vouchers etc.
- Facilitate customer collections and optimize cash flow management.
- Assist in preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements & reports in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
Regulatory Compliance & Audit
- Coordinate with external auditors for audits (statutory & internal) and tax filings.
- Facilitate compliance with tax laws, transfer pricing & international regulations.
Taxation & Treasury
- Assist in tax planning and the preparation of VAT & Corporate tax returns.
- Collaborate with tax advisors to manage intercompany transactions and documentation.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for reporting and analytics.
- Hands on experience on Office 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT etc).
- Ensure data integrity across systems & support finance digital transformation projects.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor`s &/or Master`s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Progressing towards CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Certification in SAP, VAT & CT practice, FATCA, CRS, ESR, AML etc., regulations.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in lubricants industry and in an MNC environment.
- Knowledge of IFRS, Tax and Local Statutory Compliance.
Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle etc).
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
