Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience working as an Accountant
• Hands-on experience with HR systems
• ACCA / CIMA / CMA certification is an advantage
• Knowledge of university financial policies and procedures is preferred
  
  

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with department and university financial policies and procedures
• Support the cash counter and respond to student inquiries
• Handle Accounts Payable invoices and prepare payments by verifying documentation
• Assist in preparing financial statements
• Generate and analyze financial reports
• Recommend financial actions based on accounting analysis
• Reconcile financial discrepancies through proper data collection and review
• Prepare special financial reports by analyzing and summarizing data and trends
• Prepare invoices and follow up on payments
• Support the preparation of internal financial reports
• Review student account balances and update records
• Prepare monthly payroll transfer letters
• Review supplier statements and prepare payment vouchers with supporting documents
• Recommend enhancements to the in-house financial system
• Coordinate with team members to ensure records are up to date
