Senior Accountant / Financial Manager
Australian owned, Dubai based rapidly growing ecommerce furniture company is seeking a Senior Accountant with
minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior role.
Requirements for the role

High level English proficiency
Excel analysis – strong aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
Team player with ‘can do’ attitude who can role with the punches
Minimum 5 years previous experience as the person responsible for: –
Managing inventory / Warehousing of inventory / barcoding / stock takes
Preparing and submitting Tax/VAT returns
Managing General Ledgers and preparation of financial reporting for Directors
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance – preference given to those who hold CA or CPA qualifications
Accuracy and attention to detail

 Proven ability to work in a challenging, fast paced, team environment under pressure
Preferable / Nice to have experience

QuickBooks Desktop
Shopify
Ecommerce
Experience migrating data between IT systems (Shopify / QuickBooks Desktop)
Responsibilities include

Preparation of tax returns and assistance with tax audits
Preparation of Landed Costs, order schedules and procurement summaries for major suppliers
Implementation of new accounting software
Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
Producing error-free accounting reports and presentation to Directors
Interrogation of financial information
Identification of errors and implementation of procedures to improve efficiency
Provide technical support and advice to the Directors
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Management of accounting team / bookkeepers
Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
Provide input into department’s goal setting process
Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal
controls
 In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
