School Leadership Team for AY 2026-2027
Job Location:
- Roles are available across NCE Charter Schools in Abu Dhabi & Al Ain.
Job Purpose:
- The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) member plays a pivotal role in driving educational excellence, school improvement, and strategic development across the school or school system. This role supports and leads the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning aligned with curriculum standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational vision.
- The SLT member works collaboratively with school leaders, teachers, students, parents, and wider stakeholders to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement. The role ensures that decision-making, performance management, and school improvement initiatives are informed by high-quality data and evidence, with a strong focus on student learning, wellbeing, and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Instructional Leadership
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school and system-wide strategic goals and improvement initiatives.
- Support and inspire leaders and teachers to deliver high-impact, future-focused teaching and learning experiences.
- Lead or support curriculum design, assessment practices, and instructional improvement aligned with the American curriculum and regulatory standards.
- Act as a liaison between leadership, departments, and stakeholders to ensure alignment, clarity, and consistency of purpose.
Teaching, Learning & Assessment
- Promote high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment across all grade levels.
- Support the design and implementation of assessments aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
- Ensure effective use of assessment data to monitor student progress at individual, class, grade, and school levels.
- Oversee systems for formative, summative, and external assessments and reporting.
Data, Monitoring & School Improvement
- Enable a data-driven, evidence-informed culture across the school or system.
- Ensure robust monitoring, reporting, and accountability processes are in place to track progress against KPIs and improvement plans.
- Provide high-quality reports and insights for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory and accreditation bodies.
- Support the development and use of data systems and dashboards to inform short-, medium-, and long-term planning.
Culture, Community & Wellbeing
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school culture aligned with organizational values and vision.
- Ensure student safety, wellbeing, and child protection systems are effectively implemented and monitored.
- Engage parents as partners in learning through meaningful communication and transparent reporting on student progress.
- Embed UAE values within school life while supporting national educational priorities and future-focused goals.
People & Performance Management
- Support the development, appraisal, and performance management of teachers and leaders.
- Contribute to leadership development, succession planning, and recruitment strategies.
- Foster collaboration, professional learning, and sharing of best practices across schools or departments.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities, accreditation agencies, corporate policies, and legislative requirements.
- Coordinate and monitor School Improvement Plans and quality assurance processes.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support educational and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following eligibility requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, OR
- Master’s Degree in any discipline with a CPD qualification in educational and/or organisational leadership, OR
- Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership, OR
- Postgraduate Diploma in any discipline with a CPD qualification in educational and/or organisational leadership, OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a CPD qualification in educational and/or organisational leadership.
(CPD qualifications must be relevant to educational leadership, school management, or organisational leadership.)
Experience:
Candidates must demonstrate progressive experience in the field of education, including teaching and leadership responsibilities, as follows:
Strong working knowledge of the Irtiqa’a Framework (mandatory).
Where the candidate holds a Master’s Degree:
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in the field of education, including:
- At least 3 years of teaching experienceor a valid educational leadership license, AND either
- 2 years in the role of Vice Principal, OR
- 3 years in a Senior Leadership role.
Where the candidate holds a Postgraduate Diploma:
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in the field of education, including:
- At least 3 years of teaching experienceor a valid educational leadership license.
Where the candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree:
- A minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in the field of education (depending on the scope of the role), including:
- At least 3 years of teaching experienceor a valid educational leadership license, with leadership responsibilities appropriate to the position.
