Position: Medical Coder (Physiotherapy Department)
Location: Sharjah, UAE Job Type: Full-time
Salary: AED 2,500 – AED 4,000 per month

Resalah Physiotherapy is looking for an experienced Medical Coder with expertise in the Physiotherapy Department to join our team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional to accurately assign diagnostic and procedural codes for patient records, ensuring compliance with UAE healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
> Review and analyze patient records (evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans) from the Physiotherapy Department.
> Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services.
> Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations (DHA/HAAD/MOH) and coding guidelines.
> Work closely with physiotherapists and physicians to verify the accuracy of documentation.
> Resolve coding discrepancies and handle claims denials related to physiotherapy services.
> Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
> Stay updated on changes in coding standards and insurance requirements.
> Assist with audits and provide feedback to improve documentation practices.

Requirements:
> Certification in Medical Coding (CPC, COC, CCS, or equivalent) preferred.
> Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding, especially in a Physiotherapy/Rehabilitation department within the UAE.
> Strong understanding of physiotherapy terminologies, modalities, and treatment procedures.
> Familiarity with UAE health insurance processes (DHA, HAAD, MOH).
> Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and coding software.
> Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
> Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
> Experience in insurance claims processing and denial management.
> Background in physiotherapy or healthcare administration.
